Welcome to CLINT

Welcome to the homepage of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC)/Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB) 1452: Catalysis at Liquid Interfaces (CLINT) at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU)

This CRC will follow a new paradigm: We aim to explore the highly dynamic, anisotropic environment of liquid interfaces to create, tailor and stabilise catalytically active sites with unique reactivity and performance. With this concept, we aim to develop novel catalytic materials that combine selectivity, productivity, robustness, and ease of processing at the highest level. CLINT consists of four strongly interlinked research areas (A, B, C, and M). All approaches centre on solid-supported liquids of ultralow vapour pressure to enable stable catalytic performance in continuous gas-phase reactions.

CLINT is made possible by a large group of experienced researchers aiming to investigate the topic at hand at various different levels from several different angles. Overall it combines theoretical approaches with a vast array of experimental projects as well as a Researcher Training Group (CLINTiRTG). It is accompanied by a series of events, lectures and seminars to promote the exchange between researches and research groups while also offering sophisticated support measures for equal opportunities.
